In July Police Now held its first annual Police Now Impact Conference to recognise our achievements and what we've learnt since launching in 2014. We also issued our first Impact Report using data to quantify the impact Police Now has had in communities and within the policing workforce. You can find the report in the documents and links tab.
“The calibre of candidates at PA Consulting’s Police Now internship assessment day was impressive. Academically they were all extremely strong but what was particularly impressive was the life experience and interpersonal skills they have gained working as Police Officers as part of the Police Now programme. They are bringing fresh and innovative ideas to tackle local crime and disorder which is not only developing them as individuals but is also benefiting both the local communities and their policing colleagues they are working with.”
Jamie Robinson – Principal Consultant, PA Consulting
“[Our Police Now Officer] has been a breath of fresh air and is really turning things round. He produces excellent communications. Residents now feel they have a Dedicated Ward Officer who really cares about the crime problems on the ward and is committed to making the ward a safer place and have a real impact on their quality of life. I cannot sing our [Police Now officer’s] praises highly enough. He is a truly amazing officer - and to think he performs like this to this very high standard at the beginning of his career…….. The fact that Police Now brought him to us shows that this is a scheme that delivers quality product and service.”

“I had to call the police 4-5 times and I know several other neighbours have phoned the police.
If it wasn’t for yourself [PN Officer] we wouldn’t have had any kind of an outcome.
She needed [the neighbour] mental health treatment, we all saw that but obviously trying to get someone to take that seriously was very difficult. My neighbour she got the help purely thanks to yourselves [PN Officers] and there has been no problems with her whatsoever which has been fantastic.
My impressions of the police have gone up”
